A knee flexion, hip extension stretch in kneeling involving the rectus femoris.


  • start in a lunge position with the stretch-side leg back with the knee resting on a mat or cushion
  • grasp the stretch-side foot, gently bending the knee
  • focus on keeping the spine neutral while extending the hip and flexing the knee
  • hold and repeat as needed
