Activity: (VIDEO) ▶️ Lateral bounds with forward advance


A weight-bearing exercise focusing on lateral movement.


  • start in an athletic ready-position
  • moving from the center of the body, bound to one side, advancing slightly, and land onto one foot, maintaining good mechanics and control
  • bound to the other side, advancing slightly, landing onto the opposite foot
  • repeat as needed
  • NOTE: the ability to do a proper lunge and single leg hop are precursors to this exercise
