Calf raise off step – single leg
An active, weight-bearing exercise for the ankle and toe plantar flexors, including the gastrocnemius, soleus and muscles of the deep posterior compartment of the leg.
- standing on a step with one foot, with your heel off the edge
- lift your heel up, without bending the hips or knees
- lower back down in a controlled manner
- repeat as needed
- NOTE: can use support as needed
