Finger flexion stretch – Distal IP joint focus

Stretch for the distal inter phalangeal joint and the extensors of the finger.

  • flex or curl up your finger towards the palm of the hand
  • very gently, with the other hand, add pressure at the second finger joint past the MCP joint(knuckle)
  • hold and repeat as needed
  • can add wrist flexion to add some stretch to the long extensors of the finger
