Hop to single leg squat position

A dynamic weight-bearing exercise focusing on absorbing forces and decelerating into a single leg squat position.

  • start in a standing position
  • generally speaking, start with smaller and slower movements with all dynamic exercises
  • moving from the center of the body, hop forward and land into a single-leg squat position, focusing on landing softly
  • return to the start position
  • repeat as needed
  • NOTE: the ability to do a proper single leg squat and single leg hop are precursors to this exercise
