Lower extremity isometrics – in crook lying

Hip abduction with deep abdominal involvement and with resistance band looped around distal thigh.

  • laying on your back, hips and knees bent, feet placed flat on the floor
  • gently at first, co-contract the back and from of your thighs, and calves
  • hold for up to 5-6 seconds, then relax
  • repeat as instructed
  • Note: breathe normally throughout; avoid holding your breath
