Spinal mobility: lumbar flexion, thoracic extension

Basic spinal mobility exercise from 4-point kneeling, focusing on more thoracic extension and lumbar flexion.

  • start in a 4-point kneeling position (hands and knees)
  • gently drop the chest down, ie: extend the back, focusing on movement from the thorax
  • gently arch the back up, ie: flex the back, focusing on movement from the lower back
  • repeat as needed
