Upper limb mobility: radial nerve bias
A mobility exercise for the upper extremity, involving some tension on the radial nerve.
- keep the head and neck in a neutral position
- gently depress the scapula
- make a loose fist while tucking your thumb into your fingers
- straighten the elbow
- extend the whole upper extremity behind your body (reaching back)
- flex the wrist
- internally rotate the forearm (rotate it inwards)
- move in and out of this position, only working within the comfortable range
- repeat as needed
- NOTE: care if there is any dural tension
- NOTE: see flossing exercises for more dural mobilization
