Upper range shoulder flexion with scapulothoracic control

Active upper range shoulder flexion with focus on scapular control.

  • standing upright, keep the chest wide, shoulders relaxed, arms at the sides
  • keeping the arm straight, flex at the shoulder joint bring the arm forwards and up
  • focus on moving from the center with good scapulothoracic mechanics
  • work within the middle to upper range of movement, ie: from about shoulder height to overhead
  • repeat as needed
