A simple ankle dorsiflexion stretch with the knee bent, focusing on the ankle and toe flexors and the soleus.

  • standing with the stretch-side leg back
  • keeping the heel on the ground, and the knee bent, lower the body down and forwards until a stretch is felt in the calf
  • hold and repeat as needed
  • NOTE: can place hands on a wall or countertop if needed
