A simple ankle dorsiflexion stretch with the knee straight, focusing on the ankle and toe flexors, primarily the gastrocnemius.

  • standing with the stretch-side leg back
  • keeping the knee straight and the heel on the ground, move body and pelvis forwards until a stretch is felt in the calf
  • hold and repeat as needed
  • NOTE: can place hands on a wall or countertop if needed
