(VIDEO) ▶️ Calf raise off step

An active, weight-bearing exercise for the ankle and toe plantar flexors, including the gastrocnemius, soleus and muscles of the deep posterior compartment of the leg.

  • standing on a step, feet shoulder width apart, with your heels off the edge
  • lift your heels up, then back down without bending the hips or knees
  • repeat as needed
  • NOTE: can use support as needed
