(VIDEO) ▶️ Forward lunge
An active, weight-bearing exercise for the lower extremity.
- start in a standing position
- step forward with one leg, with reciprocal arm movement (as in with walking or running)
- keeping the spine neutral, bend at the hips and knees to the desired depth
- maintain good alignment and loading through the lower extremity
- return to the start position
- repeat as needed
- NOTE: can also do continually walking forwards
