Forwards and side flexion stretch for the cervical spine, with focus on elongating the spine.

  • sitting or standing with the shoulders relaxed
  • tilt the head forward and to one side while focusing on elongating the neck
  • the hand opposite the stretch-side can be used to gently add to the stretch, taking care not to add compression to the neck
  • hold and repeat as needed
