Rolling for the posterior hip, involving the gluteal muscles and deep external rotators of the hip.
- sitting on a roller, on the ground, supported by the arms
- lift one arm and tilt the body to the opposite side slightly so only one hip is resting on the roller
- cross the lower leg of the weighted-hip side over the opposite knee
- roll around on the muscled part of the posterior hip, avoiding any bony prominences
- repeat as needed
