(VIDEO) ▶️ Scapulothoracic push-ups

A stabilization exercise involving the upper extremity and anterior aspect of the trunk and hip.

  • start in prone position, but supporting yourself on straight arms, hands about shoulder-width apart
  • keep your shoulders and chest wide, spine neutral and legs straight 
  • keeping your arms straight, lower the rest of your body as a unit, while maintaining a neutral spine and straight legs
  • keeping your arms straight, now lift the body as a unit, while maintaining the aforementioned body position
  • repeat as needed
