Wrist extension stretch with belt or strap to help minimize dorsal wrist impingement.

  • gently rest the palm of one hand on the table or countertop and keep the forearm near vertical
  • loop a belt or strap around the back of forearm near the wrist
  • bring the forearm towards the back of the hand, effectively bending the wrist into extension, while still lightly keeping the palm contacting the countertop
  • simultaneously pull the strap opposite the direction of movement to apply a slight pressure to the end of the forearm
  • repeat as needed
