Ankle dorsiflexion with strap, minimizing impingement of anterior capsule.

  • in standing, place the stretch side ankle through the strap or belt loop
  • the strap should rest at the lowest part of the leg, and not on any part of the foot
  • the other end of the loop should be tied or fixed to something solid that won’t move
  • take up the slack in the loop, then start to bend forward at the ankle, feeling a slight posterior pull from the strap
  • hold and repeat as needed
