Upper thoracic opening exercise in supine over a small roll.

  • laying on your back with a small towel roll under the thoracic spine
  • raise the arms overhead to a comfortable range
  • focus on extending the thorax (upper back) and not the lumbar spine (low back)
  • incorporate deep breathing to further facilitate thoracic extension
  • repeat as needed
